Research and Evidence Generation
Development of multicentre observational studies, surveys, systematic reviews, registries, clinical research projects, and collaborative publications.
Working Groups
As the initiative expands, much of its practical work can be performed through dedicated Working Groups. Working Groups may be permanent or project-specific.
Eight areas of work
Each group is open to radiation oncologists, medical physicists, radiation therapists and other professionals with relevant expertise. Express your interest in one or more groups and we will contact you as the groups are formed.
Development of multicentre observational studies, surveys, systematic reviews, registries, clinical research projects, and collaborative publications.
Assessment and implementation of technologies such as image-guided, stereotactic and adaptive radiotherapy, brachytherapy, automation and artificial intelligence.
Regional educational programmes, webinars, workshops, mentoring, observerships, case discussions, and multidisciplinary educational activities.
Supporting residents, early-career radiation oncologists, physicists, RTTs, researchers, and future leaders.
Development of quality indicators, benchmarking initiatives, peer review, clinical pathways, and regional quality-improvement programmes.
Studying differences in infrastructure, workforce, waiting times, technology, reimbursement, accessibility, education, and cancer outcomes.
Translation of evidence into recommendations for institutions, healthcare systems, professional societies, policymakers, and international organizations.
Website development, social media, scientific communication, newsletters, member engagement, and dissemination of RISING-RO projects.
Additional groups can be created when sufficiently strong scientific or professional needs emerge.
Send an expression of interest and tell us how you would like to contribute. We will contact you as the group takes shape.
